Renovation Updates
Life Uncommon is Underway

Ground has been broken and construction is well underway for Ballston Quarter.  Check back for the latest updates as well as what’s happening with the bridge. Also, follow us on Instagram and Facebook for even more up-to-the minute news and info about all of our happenings. We think you’ll agree life around here is very much unboring.
The Wilson Blvd bridge is closed. For more information on the bridge design, click here. A portion of the sidewalk on Wilson Blvd. (under the pedestrian bridge) will be closed as of January 9th. Please refer to the designated signage on site for further route navigation.

January 1, 2017 – May 6, 2017 construction hours:
7am – 6:30pm Monday through Friday
8am – 6:30pm Saturdays
10am-6:30pm Sundays and Holidays

All construction related questions should be directed to Clark Construction:
Joe Swank – Superintendent (202) 359-2737
Geoff Kratville – Project Manager (301) 395-7292

May 5, 2017

To make way for the new bridge, Clark Construction will be demolishing the pedestrian bridge over Wilson Blvd. and ancillary components of said bridge on the following days:

Sunday, May 14, 2017; and Saturday, May 20, 2017.

The tentative schedule will be as follows:
Sunday, May 14: soft strip of portions of bridge glass and other components; tree removal.
Saturday, May 20: removal of bridge, with the exception of columns and footings. We will try to get everything completed this day but will most likely run out of time. In that case we will return either Saturday, May 27 or June 3 to complete. No work Sunday, May 21 due to Taste of Arlington.

This operation will result in a shutdown of Wilson Blvd. between Stuart Street and Randolph Street, with no vehicular or foot traffic access between the hours of 6:00am – 8:00pm (access to garage at Stafford Place II and pedestrian entrance to CVS from Randolph Street will remain accessible). Please note that should an unforeseen unsafe condition be encountered that necessitates the operation to extend beyond these hours, we will require the closure to remain in place until such time that the road and sidewalk can be opened to allow for safe passage.

The bridge will reopen in conjunction with the grand opening of Ballston Quarter in fall 2018.

March 17, 2017

As part of the construction of the Ballston Quarter Residential Tower, N. Randolph Street will be closed between Wilson Blvd. and the Arlington County Parking Garage starting at 9am on Saturday, March 18th and will be reopened upon completion.

Vehicles will be detoured from N. Randolph St. for the entire duration of the closure. The County parking garage entrance on N. Randolph St. will remain open.

Punch Bowl Social is the first new tenant announced to open at Ballston Quarter in 2018.
